FAF-DC through crediting allows the clients to transform the small initiatives into big investments. So FAF-DC through crediting SME improve farm households to gain access to steady, reliable markets and/or employments which did not exist before and contribute to the stability of the local economy.

 December 2009 SME loans occupy 82.3% of the total portfolio of FAF DC and 47.4% of the total number of clients.

Fran Kacori a successful businessman in Mirdita, the owner of “Arberi” winery and producer of alcoholic beverages and raki. He has managed to establish one of the best factories in Albania and to increase year by year the production with the loans borrowed from FAF-DC. He buys the grape from the farmers of the area providing a sustainable market for their production. The products of ‘Arberia” wineries are awarded for their bouquet in the national & international winery fairs. Based on the recent credit, Fran is successfully developing its grape yard.
